What does it actually take to become an artist?
It's more than learning to sing, writing a good song or playing a gig. It's discovering how to tap into your creativity, build an identity, connect with an audience and understand the work that happens behind the scenes.
WHAT YOU’LL GET:
Throughout the year long program, students will collaborate with their peers and music industry professionals to write original music, build live performances, develop their artist identity and learn how to plan, promote and deliver their own shows.
SONGWRITING SESSIONS
Learn from industry professionals to write and develop your own original music. Collaborate with other young musicians to find your voice and experiment creatively.
LIVE PERFORMANCES
From the rehearsal room to the stage, bring your original music to life and perform in front of a live audience with a full band. Finish the course with a headline show and the knowledge of what it takes to plan one.

You’ll be invited to submit a performance (video or in person). This isn’t about being perfect, it’s about showing where you’re at creatively. Every applicant receives constructive, helpful feedback on their submission to support their growth, regardless of the outcome. We have limited places, so we carefully select students who are the right fit for the program and ready to commit to the experience. Successful applicants will receive an offer to join the course, along with next steps to secure their place. This process not only helps us get to know you, but also gives you a taste of how the music industry works, preparing you for future opportunities.

Yes! If you have a duo partner or band already established we strongly encourage you apply as a group! Please send through an email and we will send you the information

No…our mentors can guide you through the songwriting process. The final show is played with a professional band who will bring YOUR songs to life!

We are based at Mo’s Desert Clubhouse in Burleigh Heads!

We offer a 24-hour cancellation policy, and if your lesson is cancelled within this time, you will be able to book in another session.

While there isn’t an age limit, acceptance into the course is by application and generally suited to emerging musicians from 15 years and up.
